VIU SAB deadlines and processes

You must have a VIU Student Number to apply! NOTE: The profile is currently closed for internal updates; we expect to launch in mid-September

Complete in 4 easy steps by Application Deadlines!

1. Log onto your VIU Student Record
2. Click on "Finances" tab and then choose Scholarship Award Bursary Profile
3. Answer questions relevant to you
4. Click "Save Profile" We will use the saved information for selections

• September 1st: Student Awards Profile application opens
• October 30th at midnight: deadline to apply for bursaries
• Early January: students selected for bursaries will be notified by email and tuition credits applied before the tuition due date
• March 30th at midnight: deadline to apply for scholarships, awards, and entrance awards
• March 31 - August 31: profile closed for internal updates and awards selections
• April - May: students selected for entrance awards and scholarships will be notified by email
• May - July: students selected for other awards and scholarships will be notified by email
• September: enrollment is checked for students who have been selected for awards and scholarships; tuition credits applied before the tuition due date

• Bursary recipients will be notified by email early January
• Entrance Award recipients between April - May by email
• Scholarship and Award recipients by late July by email

• Provide clear, concise and relevant information, where required
• Ensure you check any affiliations or memberships relative to you
• Provide detailed information on financial hardships
• Check the external listings for available funding sources outside of VIU
